Pair Suspected of Drug Abuse, Child Abuse (Arizona)
The Pinal County Narcotics Task Force have arrested a Johnson Ranch couple on suspicion of drug use and child abuse. Investigators on Friday said they concluded a month-long investigation resulting in the arrest of Genaro Maduena, 35, and Reyna Encinas-Montijo, 41. Task force members said they launched the investigation after receiving tips from area patrol officers. As part of the investigation, undercover detectives made several purchases of illegal drugs, during which five children were present along with the couple, deputies said.
Wife Defends Spouse Charged In Child Abuse (Tennessee)
The wife of a man charged with child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor said Monday the charges brought against him were baseless. Jesse Augustus Orendorff, 25, was charged with forcing his stepson's 11-year-old friend into the "iron chair" position and telling his stepson to shoot the child with an AirSoft BB gun, according to an arrest warrant. His wife, Charlotte Orendorff, said the allegations aren't true. "(The boys) got into an AirSoft gun fight, which is where that came from," she said. "The two guns involved were ones I had bought for my kids for Christmas. If the kid can shoot my son, why can't he get told to shoot back?"

I see that once again, no one checked the facts on this case before it was posted. Just because a newspaper twists words to fit their story (which they then recant) does not mean that it is acurate. The child abuse/neglect charges were dropped if anyone cares to check that FACT. Maybe this site needs to better check its postings.
