Trial Date Set for Babysitter Who Took Bath with Child
A 36-year-old Lewiston, Minn., man accused of taking an inappropriate bath with a 3-year-old boy whom he was babysitting attended an unsuccessful settlement conference in Winona County District Court on Thursday and asked for a jury trial.The settlement conference was supposed to be a chance for Jerry Lee Moger, his attorneys and the prosecutor to meet and agree on a resolution in the case via a plea agreement.
Babysitter Fends Off Would-Be Kidnapper
The Greenville Police Department announced Wednesday officers are looking for a man they say tried to grab a 6-year-old boy at Peppermint Park, located at Brownlea Drive and East 14th Street. As the child was leaving the park with his babysitter, the man allegedly grabbed hold of the child, Gaskins said. The caretaker used pepper spray on the man, causing him to release the child who got away unharmed with the caretaker in her car, Gaskins said.
