Rise in Children Hurt Falling out of Open Windows (CA)
On June 5, Brown said a babysitter placed the toddler on a kitchen counter, which Brown described as flush against the open window, with a flower box attached to it.
The sitter turned toward the stove at the Palo Alto townhouse, and seconds later looked back at the boy. By then, he had disappeared and plunged more than 12 feet to the pavement below, Brown said.
