Babsyitter Arrested After Parents Watch Nanny Camera Tape
A Texas babysitter faces felony charges in Harris County after a Spring couple accused her of physically abusing their 17-month-old daughter. Robin Renee Mayberry, 23, was arrested and charged with one count of injury to a child under 15 years old, a third-degree felony punishable by two to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. She was released on $5,000 bond. Mayberry and her attorney, Gary F. Beauchamp, appeared before state District 179 Judge Michael Wilkinson on Tuesday in Harris County. Harris County Assistant District Attorney George Weissfisch said the parents, Steven and JaNae Acquard, contacted police after they saw the alleged abuse on a surveillance video monitoring activity in their home."We have a videotape of the actual offense," he said.
