Parents face charges after Cops find Kids home alone (Manassas)
Irma Hernandez Cruz, 23, is in anguish over a decision that resulted in her kids being taken into protective custody. Early Wednesday morning, she was running late for work and left her sons—4-year-old Christian and 6-year-old Jean Pierre—at home alone sleeping. She says she thought the babysitter was on the way.
"The babysitter was supposed to come, but never showed up," said 29-year-old Evilio Hernandez Cruz, Irma's husband.

The nightmare unfolded when Fabian was attacked by three young boys in the playground of Etobicoke's Willowridge Child Care Centre.
The bullies, who were 10 and 11 years old and also in the supposed care of Willowridge staff, used a metal bat and a wooden brick to pummel the young boy's head and body.
Daycare owner faces Charges of sexually assaulting two young girls - Video (Columbia Falls)
Pete Ampudia, 48, is charged with sexually abusing two 5 year old girls at the daycare at his residence, The Little Engine That Could Daycare.
Ampudia is accused of molesting one girl in his care, and another girl, from December 2007 to April 2008.
Ampudia could face up to 400 years in prison for 2 charges of sexual intercourse without consent and two counts of sexual assault.
Ampudia's bail is currently set at $100,000.
