Baby Sitter Arrested Following 911 Call
The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office in Texas received a 911 call from a frantic babysitter that the three-year-old child she was babysitting had disappeared while she was doing laundry. Sgt. Rickey Wheeler, Deputy Gary Estes from the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Whitesboro P.D. and Whitesboro Fire & EMS arrived on the scene. Because the swimming pool was so murky, we could not see the bottom, so Whitesboro EMS personnel waded into the pool to make sure the child had not gone in. Other Deputies were checking the outer buildings and grounds while the babysitter put up the guard dogs in a room inside the residence. Once this was done, Lt. David Hawley and Whitesboro Fire Department personnel entered the residence to start the search inside. The kitchen was checked and went down a hallway to the laundry room where the babysitter said she was working. In the open closet, Lt. Hawley discovered the 3-year old asleep on the floor. Lt. Hawley called him by name, he woke up and put his arms up to pick him up. The child was given to the mother who arrived on scene.

While deputies were checking around the residence they discovered a 6 foot tall Marijuana plant growing in the flower bed. After checking for warrants on the babysitter, it was found that she had a Theft-by-Check warrant out of Cooke County.
